How to take appart (how to open) your W810, step by step. Enjoy

Part one
first of all sorry for my english
second of all i'm not resposable for any mistake made by the user.

hope this thread helps you to change parts on your W810 like the face place from the original color to other easy find in inernet like ebay.
Click in the pictures to enlarge.

This is clear, remove batery cover, the batery the sim card and if you wish the memory stick too. you will need a T6 screwdriver, a really thin philips screwdriver, a small flat screwdriver and... a knife
with a philips screwdriver remove the back pannel. (2 screws)
carefuly insert the knife (or a faceplate remove tool) between the boddy and the back pannel making a small force on the back pannel from the center out
other point of view from the same step.
with a flat screwdriver remove the (4) hook support for the antena.
now we need the T6 screwdriver to remove the 2 screws that support the front pannel.
now we remove the front pannel in the same way as the back pannel
The keyboard is a easy step, carefuly unplug strait up the keyboard plug
with the T6 remove the LCD screws on the top (and there is no more screws to remove)

How to take appart your W810, step by step (part two)

like the keyboard, remove in the same way the LCD connector
Now this is a very fragil step, remove very carefully the 1st of two connectors of this camera flex cable. (i say that because i dammage mine, now i have one that i buy on ebay and the flash led work's bad, is not like the original)
The motherboard is hanged by "clips" just force the boddy outside and the motherboard comes out almost automaticly (keep eye on the camera flex cable and in the usb connector)
now remove very carefully the 2nd connector of the camera flex cable
now just remove the camera module (keep eye on the flex cable)
the last step for the camera flex cable, just "unstick" the flsh led support
now just force from back to front the speaker's support (this module is "sticky" so need extra carefull force
we are almost done, now just remove the vibrator module
now the last step, remove the bluetooth antena.

hope you enjoy this help as i figure out that i have to open 3 times my phone because: 1st i damage the flex cable. 2nd i forgot to install in the new case the bluetooth antena and 3rd to replace the flexy cable.

can you see the difference between the original flexy cable on the left and the "original" sell on ebay on the right?

i search on ebay for a new lens module but i can't find it because mine are a litle scratched.
By the way, one problem i found in exchange the covers on my phone and other from a friend of mine is that i had to use the original side camera shuter key, i allwayh had problems with the keyboard when i use the new key, so... keep your old key :-)

I respond to your topic 'How to take apart your w810, step by step' thread from two weeks ago.

The parts that I want to replace on my phone is the strip in the middle right around the phone, with the volume buttons and camera buttons on it. Would that mean that I only need to do the first 10 steps as well?

Is that part attached to the front?

Thanks.

No, to change only the midle of the phone you really need to do all the steps. if you want only to change the front and back cover and keep the midle you need to do only the 1st 4 steps.

well, deppends how is your lens, because my lens are like scratched, i try to clean but there is no way to get back like new, the photos come nice anyway but i don't like the way the lens look.
Any one here know how to really restore the lens?

REmoving the back pannel really don't help to much, but is like you sayd nickzaremba, you only need to remove the back pannel, and you don't need to remove the batery or turn off the phone. I done that before and was no use.

one more question. HOW are the flexy cables connected? HOW do we place them back after disconnecting them?

Hi there, and sorry for just answering now after 2 weeks, how to show it will be impossible now unless i take apart my phone again and then take new pictures, because i just toke when take apart, but the process is basely the same on reverse.
I can tell you that the flex cable is very sensible but 1st you have to install the LED part in his place thru the camera hole. then install the camera module and connect the flex cable on his connector, then place the motherboard passing the flex cable thru the hole on the motherboard and finely connect the last connector of the flex cable on the motherboard.

the store where i get all my parts as possible to do a good job is this ebay store http://stores.ebay.com/e2shopstore

Almost all the parts come with tools. Example: the face place comes with the T6 screwdriver and some of them comes also with the plastic openers, the flex cable comes with those plastic openers too.
I use the knife just because the photos, because most of the people get the parts with no tools attached.
