Im planning on getting the 8GB N95 soon, and as ill be getting it from vodafone, itll more than likely have theyre annoying branding on it. Does anyone know of a way to convert it to the generic noki n95 firmware?

I've just received a N95 8gb and, like someone else already said being a SE fan, its taking some getting used to especially for texting. The battery life is shocking I'm getting a day out of it where as my old SE was 3-4 days. Apart from that,Christ, what an awesome phone (if you can call it a phone) I think the only thing it can't do is make a brew. If you have one forget nokia maps, add Google maps instead they are far better and you can use that for the sat nav.

Does anyone know where I can find free stuff for it ie themes, games and applications? and can someone help me to install msn on it cos I must be a bit thick and can't do it. I keep getting instructions for my net passport, when I enter them it tells me that they are incorrect. I've tried getting another but its the same thing again and again.

boing, unfortunately msn is network dependent. you aren't thick - your network blocks it from being installed. i use opera mini instead to pick up hotmail from mobile.live.com. it sucks but its the only way around it.

TIPS:
Some nice tips can be found here to start us off

To find your phones MAC address (for wifi router security), you can type the following code in:
*#62209526# (which is the same as spelling *#mac wlan# using predictive text)
and what about this title in swedish news ''Sony Ericsson W910 Screen puts nokia N95 in to shame''

and '' W910 Best built quality slider 2007''

and ''w910 best phone 2007''

i'm not going to argue with you, 3sixty. the phones are hardly comparable as they meet completely different needs.

also, having used the n95 for almost a year now, i am very much looking forward to dumping it and getting something different when my phone contract expires. and believe me when i say it won't be the n96...
