there is an application for S60 phone which can turn your camera light into a torch, just like the one on the K800 Xeon range detector.

@slaski

no offence mate at all but yes i know there is a MARK ALL function, but the thing is that i want to keep some selected SMS in my inbox, e.g client SMS instead of emails, and at the same time trashing unwanted SMS as it slows down the inbox, hence only way i had to do was to sync to PC all messages and just delete all at once. Will really be better if Nokia had used SE style of marking elements, just by selecting MARK and 1 key to mark a single object.

i am nont sure about your lag, but my E61 normally has about 18MB RAM free, still lags, i think i need to reformat the phone (its a year of installling and uninstalling trashed applications )

as for theme creation, yes i know that Nokia theme creator has lot of options to change like border highlights etc, but its sometime too many to change , would prefer something simpler, neat and easy to use a.k.a mTC motto; Theme Creating. Simpler

as for 3.5mm yes its definitely a bonus, but location haha guess thats personal, some people prefer to strap the phone on their waist pouch, would be great if its like the N73 on top..

all in all i still fall back on the post #2 i made

But still it depends on the end user, some of my friends love N95 some hate it and prefer a SE, for me, i will take a better SE phone to replace my K800 (K850?) and a E90 to replace my E61
N95 and W850 is a no-no for me as i dont use all of their the features which i wil definitely be paying for. - Why pay more?

cheers!

N95 looks with SE software inside... hmmm.

@ Mr. ASAP

I`ve found a way about the deleting message thing. Select MARK from the menu. Hold the Pencil button and use up and down to select the messages to delete, then press C.

@ slaski

You`re right, using different earphones is better. That`s why I`m using my SE wireless bluetooth earphones...

Guess you are right!

omg over a year did i now realise that hitting the BACKSPACE key (E61) will prompt to delete the message ..... @_@

just hitting the SHIFT button and moving up and down will Mark the messages selected @_@
.......Nokia should incorporate this in their introduction to the phone!

Thanks loads

It depends of what you most like, both brands are good in equipment, the models are diferent and the price looks like also is diferent. It depends of the likes.

I know this an old thread, but just a quick update...

The N95 lasted 5 hours before it died, and it wasn't doing anything at all. All functions were off (WLAN scanning, music player etc), so nothing was eating the battery, just standby. SO i downloaded the Nemesis Service Suite and inserted a generic UK code and updated the firmware to 20.0.015 (from 12.0.013) and it seems to last a lot longer. I didn't charge it last night and its still showing full.
I still had problems finding the app that i wanted through all the confusing directories, so in the end I've set up my main menu EXACTLY as my W850, and now i can find stuff!!
Some of the other problems i have still exist, but i guess i could live with them if i don't have a choice... Anyway...

The earplug jack is still on the side of the phone, i still don't have a torch, theme creation is tricky, the playlist isn't doing what i want...

The battery has only dropped two bars, and i was using it quite a lot last night too, so a definate improvement there...

I downloaded an app called "Torch.sis" but it says not supported, so not sure what the problem is there. Maybe the red light isn't a good idea, as people may think i'm lining them up in my laser sights, ready to be shot... I`m also using a theme from PiZero called Manhattan, which is a cool theme.
When I'm using my bluetooth headset, the music is broken up. It's not continuous like my W850i...
