About Anti-Viruses, PCWorld.com said that Kaspersky Labs was the best, Norton 2007 was 2nd.

Also in your list, there's no firewall, I'm using Webroot (It's Free, was $20).

Also, install McAfee SiteAdvisor for Firefox, then you get a decent idea which site are bad and which are good.

am a devoted user of eset n0d myself... never had any issues w/ it so far... barring the application screaming certain windows dll's as trojans [which is actually good - i simply do a g00gle for those - check what they do n if need be simply block those files to have internet axx]
another heads up wud be, the latest release of n0d checks for the tampered or dare i call it - a sm00thed version of its core executable. a simple workaround is to exclude the eset n0d install directory from the AMON File System Monitor entirely ;-) that shud do it for good.
imho, n0d > kaspersky > avg > bitdefender are the real smart ones... all the rest are... well... just bloat-ware... 'sigh-man-take' & 'make-coffee' topping the list! =

That's it.

I'm using both, Opera & firefox.
The firefox with extensions are more comfortable than the widgets of opera

Hmm, have you been thinking of Flock? It's using GECKO rendering engine (like FF) but has many, MAAAANY cool features and improved security. Give it a shot! I've been using it for 3 months now, and never even looked back at FF.
