K800i - 'Charging error, stop charging'

I haven't been here in the longest time, feels nostalgic.

Anyway, out of that same nostalgia I tried reviving my old K800i. Bought a new battery and new charger, but whenever I plug the phone in the charger, I get 'Charging error, stop charging' every 3-4 seconds. If, however, I am fast enough and can unplug the phone then plug it in my PC before it turns off, it (apparently) charges just fine. Any ideas? I will be trying a factory reset and perhaps a reflash (if jdFlasher works on w7 x64) once the battery is full enough.

Damn it, it's been almost a decade. Sorry for the irrelevant post. I just felt the same nostalgia. Hope you guys are doing well. Anyway it could be the battery not allowing the higher current provided by the charger to flow.
