A suggestion if you may ...

Hello

I would like to suggest to the Moderators that once a query seems to have been solved, the thread could be marked as 'Solved' or "Closed'.

This will save a lot of precious time of a lot of users, who can then use that time to help many other members/people.

The idea is good, since there are many threads that kepp being refreshed by newbies, but I dislike some forums that are full of threads and there are only three active, because the others are lockedThat was my opinion, maybe the mods have a better idea

I would prefer the 'solved' marked option, cause i also don't like to look at closed threads.
Also it looks strange when all the threads are closed.

i second this nice idea....

perhaps the admins can create a SOLVED option for threads? maybe a ''solved'' icon (probably a tick icon?) on a new column just between the thread icons and thread title/starter?

and perhaps this option can only be used by the thread starter themselves and the mods?

I have a tiny feeling that would have to be with the actual possibilities available in the host of the forum (in this case, vBulletin).
Since you and rush can't find this I'm assuming this cannot be done.
Here's an idea though: start the thread with "SOLVED:" after being so.
For example if I had a query on how to connect BT:
"K750 conneciton problems with BT"
If someone then helped me and solved my problem:
"SOLVED: K750 connection problems with BT"

This can be adapted by all moderators/admins
