Android 2.2 vs iOS 4.1

Iíve spent some time reading about both the Android 2.2 (Froyo) and the iOS 4.1 update recently. Although itís a pretty close race, looking at a side-by-side comparison of the two leads me to believe that Android is actually winning by a nose.

One of the main problems that were holding the older versions of Android back was their issues with speed. This problem has now been solved with changes that give the OS a 2x to 5x times performance boost which is epic, and there are even rumors that Google is just being modest and that the speed boost is more like 4x-5x. Canít understand why people are still freaking out about the iPhone 4?

hummmmmm my Xperia X10 has a 1ghz processor the iPhone 3gs 833 MHz processor
Underclocked to 600 MHz note its underclocked to 600mhz?!

the iPhone 4 is rated at 1ghz but has so far not been rated (note all other iphones have been underclocked! to save heat and battery life!) it has been noted that it runs a lot slower than the iPad which uses the same processor so from that assumption its running slower! ..thus the interface will run slower ... from visually playing with both iOS 4.1 (on iPhone4) android is pretty quick between fades and transitions ....

Suggestions is go to a phone store and play with both and you decide

Itís only been a couple of years since both iOS (formerly known as iPhone OS) and Android have been in the mobile market, and yet, the two mobile operating systems have managed to rock the technology world.
At present, weíre left with the versions of iOS 4.1, and Android 2.2 Froyo (Frozen Yogurt). Itís a case of apples and oranges (pun intended), but we want to find out what our reader base considers to be superior: iOS 4.1 or Android 2.2 Froyo.
According to the analyst android is growing in very rapid pace in 2012 it will grasp the 25% of the world market. All the recent statistics shows that Android is the next golden egg of Google
