Forum Rules

As there was no rules page/thread (if there was, I couldn't find it), I decided to create one to help new members and visitors.

For you and others to enjoy this forum, please follow these rules.

General Forum Rules

• No posts that are unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortuous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libellous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable.
• No flaming
• No Spamming (eg. Posting irrelevant messages)
• No Double-Posting (Use the button to edit your posts)
• Adult content is prohibited. Because Lasyk is family friendly, links to adult content and/or posting of jokes or comments of an adult nature in either forum posts or user profile are prohibited. All links to adult content, within user posts will be immediately deleted and the posters will be issued an official warning from staff. Adult links located within your user profile will be deleted by a forum leader.
• Do Not provide any telephone numbers, street addresses or email addresses.
• Do not solicit passwords or personal identifying information for commercial or unlawful purposes from other users and members of Lasyk.
• Do not hijack other users threads, post your own thread instead. (use the button)
• Advertising (such posts/threads will be deleted)
• Post you thread in the relavant sub-forum, and check for identical threads with the search-function before posting a new thread (Unless the last post in a thread is before 2007).

Theme Competition Rules
Complete Theme Comp Rules Thread

• Themes must not contain adult content. (eg. Nudity)
• The theme must be made by yourself. (excludes wallpaper)
• You must not vote for your own theme. (Doing so your theme will be disqualified)

Games and Software Rules
Complete Games/Software Rules Thread

• Do not post games/software that are copyrighted and would normally have to buy.
• Request games/software that are copyrighted and would normally have to buy, via posting or PM.
• Post links to sites that offer games/software that you would normally have to buy for free.

Please suggest improvements and constructive criticism is welcomed!

A suggestion could be:
*Post you thread in the relavant sub-forum, and check for identical threads with the search-function.

But what about: no warez talk at all, i guess e.g. no torrents are allowed, neither along with music 'n movies ..

Well, I guess torrents are allowed just as long as it's not illegal.

1) Not all the rules are on the Register page.

2) The Terms of Use is a very big page, the rules are in the middle of it, not many new users would go through a big page looking for the rules.
