New myThemeCreator update (version 1.304 released)

(1) When resizing an image mTC now preserves PNG transparency
(2) Capture Preview images are now saved as JPEG 90%
(3) Desktop Image for the V800 dimension preview has been fixed to 176x182, you may have noticed a gap in the desktop screen in earlier mTC releases
(4) Corrected the External screen tag (V800 Secondary_image), so your external screen should now display an image, when deploying the theme to your device
(5) You can now remove images from mTC by right clicking the button you have added the image

We have postponed the Organic Preview feature, for a later release...

Does anyone have problems with "myTheme crator"? I'm trying to create a theme for my V800, but when I'm saving it as a .thm file and upload it on the phone, the .jpg pics I put in the theme simply are not there!
Also when I want to open my saved theme, it doesn't open it!
And last, the picture I choose for background (I use the same one for desktop backround), doesn't show up at the top-left window of the preview, but it's ok at the other screens.

PLEASE HELP!!!

Hello sevastos,
Can you please attach the theme in your reply.

If you fill in the theme name field you will not need to edit the filename in the save window. If you need to modify the filename, you must type the full file name e.g ThemeName.thm. If you do not include the extension the theme will not be saved.

Does this theme work on your phone?

Try to create a new folder on your PC in c:\mtc\v800\ and save your themes in this folder. The problem is that your Windows Username uses Greek letters so when you save the theme this data is also stored. I have included a working version

Please note, if you notice that occuring (theme images do not open after being saved),:
This is due to the fact that mTC stores the image files in a temp folder based on your username so this is added and it is possible that the theme will not work (if unicode or special characters are used). We are looking into a fix for this issue...
Current Fix: If your username in 'Windows' uses special characters, try changing your username in 'Windows' (this applies to other Operating Systems too)

I did both things you told me. I've changed my username in Windows (it was in greek before) and I've created the seperate folder to save the themes there. Well, Now it opens the saved V800 theme, but as a K500 one!
But, when I open another theme (like the ones in mobile9, or the working version that webmaster sent me) reset all pictures and replace them with others, then I can open and re-edit it...

Your feedback is very important
Please follow this guideline:

1) Create your graphics and save them all under c:\mtc\v800\themegraphics\
e.g c:\mtc\v800\themegraphics\wallpaper.jpg etc.

2) Use mTC to build your theme based on the wallpapers above.

3) Save the theme in c:\mtc\v800\testtheme.thm

4) Zip this theme and post it in your reply

The problem is the unicode text in the file locations of the images you are trying to use. Yes, please include the theme in your reply

(1) Significant increase in preview screens quality, mTC now uses the new Lasyk True Text Framework: Linux, Solaris & Windows users will notice a great improvement in the preview screen fonts
(2) Capture all Preview fixes the bottom 3 preview screens (slightly cut previously)
(3) Image resizing utility now offers improved GIF & PNG support, GIF images (based on GIF87a) are resized, GIF89a will be converted to JPEG images
(4) Better Color & Theme Settings window management

Can a screensaver option be added in a future version? And how about an Mp3 ringtone (DRM protected for the branded phones)?

Screensavers cannot be added to a theme (this is not supported by the device at the moment), so you have to manually add a screensaver, in mTC you can add an MP3, we are currently looking into, if themes with Ringtones in DRM format will work, if so we will update mTC

Bugs in mTC 1.305 OS X version:
V800 Settings:
-Softkeys background doesnt show in picture
-Desktop outline doesnt show in picture
-Transparent images doesnt show in picture

Thats it for now...but so far so good. Keep up the good work
