Changing T mobile G1 application languages to english?

I have an andriod t mobile G1 from which I bought on the internet. Its applications that is the market, googletalk, gmail and the calander are in chinese while the rest are in english. I want to ask if someone would kindly tell me how to change the language of these applications back to english. Thank you for your help.
