mp3 as ringtones

I was wondering if there is any way (apart from converting to amr) that the k700 could use an mp3 file as a ringtone?

Does anyone know if this can be done?

i can use mp3 files as ringtones...

Each time i try to do that i get "cannot use this file", anyone knows why?

what operator do u have.. like vodafone has made it so that u cant have mp3 as ringtone.. dont know why.. but they have

nopes... maybe if you flash the phone with a terminator dongle.... but i dont know... vodafone sucks..!!

I've heard vodafone are suppose to be releasing software near the end of this month that will let vodafone customers use mp3s as tones.

I have a f500i adn this is what they told me

Yeah, I also have f500i (vodafone edition) and i can't use mp3 as ringtones. I have tried everything... :mad:

wow that sucks. why dont operators just leave the phones software alone. i have orange ant they have removed the shortcut function........muppets :mad:

if you want to play mp3 ringtones on your phone what you need to do is upgrade your firmwear to R2V the lattest by vodafone. then when you transfer the song to the computer you have to first convert the .mp3 using sony ericsson DRM packager. if you dont you cant set the mp3 as a ring tone : SE :
