Something else that might make things easyer.
Nokia Data Suite has a media player inbuilt. you can open mp3, wav, wma, avi, mov files with ease. it also lets you "save as" which will convert from mp3 to amr or video files to 3gp. i have recently converted a heap of full screen music videos for my K700i. The quality is pretty good. And with video it will let you select uncapped size or MMS/PXT 95kb cap.

Just tested this workaround with my k700 and it works perfectly. Finally I have a huge siren sound as a ringtone :):):):)

i got nokia multimedia converter....i use to convert mp3 to amr for my t610...
about videos..converting....i use mpegable 4x live which is the best....and better than NMC(nokia multimedia converter)....itz..got many options and the clarity also is better than NMC.
for the k700i...huge mp3 files...barley u can get 5 songs....if..u use...videos..for 20mb....but den...i found out..musicmatch jukebox der i convert mp3 to mp3 at 64kbps and the file size becomes 1.79mb ...and rite now i got 16 sound files...lol...

i use 48 kbps on my K700i and I have 26 mp3s and still 3.5mb left, hahah :P and the sound is quite good after all!
