Well i think overall the Sony Ericsson T610 is a awesome phone. Lets look at some of the beautifull points in this phone. :D Well its small compared to the phones we compare our T610 with say 7650 or 3650. I think personally its a beautifull looking phone. The personalization features are very good. I havent used any other phone which gives you a option to change the theme, changing the theme really makes the phone look absolutely different everytime you use it. The ringtones in this phone are so awesome , especially the ones that came with it. Its got bluetooth and infrared. Another awesome feature is the music DJ , its a great little tool and adds a lot of life to the phone. The camera is average but again its got some good features , like the sepia mode and the B /W mode though the negative mode is a bit of a waste. The camera takes good pictures in bright light. The menu is a joy to use i feel and the joystick could have been made just a bit more easier to use. Light phone at only 95 g ,The battery life is pretty decent and gets better with charges. The silver black colour looks the best i feel. The red black version looks a bit tacky. Good msging features too.

Bad points ..

well battery life could have been better. Its not really a smartphone , does have a very small memory , 2 MB is indeed very timid. The camera quality in the night time gets very bad even with the night mode on. The screen gets a bit bad with sunlight shining on it. Difficult to see. Screen flikkers a bit unusually. Slow in operation ( i think its got something to do with the OS) ... Anything to add to this people ?

The reception! It easily has the worst RF reception of any phone I've ever had to work with. I have to put it in the front window of the office where I work just to get enough signal to receive calls (Basically 0 bars, but it still says "Cingular" on the screen), then I have to go outside to talk.

I will say, however, that once I got the firmware upgrade from Global Mobility (http://www.globalmob.com) (T616/R1B011), reception improved strongly in most places. I still can't get much of a signal at work, though. Granted, I imagine that a lot of this is Cingular's fault, but my Nokia 3395 could at least get a 1- or 2-bar signal inside the office. If someone made an external antenna I could clip onto it at work, that might help.

It seems to drop out periodically from time to time, even in areas of good signal strength. It'll just spontaneously drop from 4 or 5 bars to "no network" even if I'm standing still, then about a minute later, it'll jump back up to 4 or 5 bars. Again, this could be Cingular's doing, but I never noticed it with my Nokia.

Oh, one other thing. I wish the "clock" screensaver would leave the top bar of the phone intact, so I could see signal strength, battery life, missed calls, etc. without having to return the phone to standby mode. That'd help a lot. And, that's something SE could fix with a firmware upgrade, I imagine.
