issues creating wallpapers

well i dont seem to understand how to make them fit correctly on the screen.

basically im using microsoft office picture manager to resize my pictures but im finding it difficult.

basically if i get a picture and resize it to 240 X 320 and then put it onto the phone, the picture can only be viewed in landscape for it to fill the screen. when i do this the picture is not the right way up.

ive tried cropping the picture and then re sizeing the picture to the screen resolution but then the picture gets a little blurred. any help is welcome.

why don't you use photoshop? it is the best photoprogram.

Try using a proper graphics editor. For instance Photoshop, as slaski recommends. Just beware that it's very expensive. Other good freeware alternatives are GiMP or Paint.NET.

And please, use Google before you ask where to get them. ;)

Also try to find some tutorials on how to use the programs. Shouldn't be a problem, as there are tons of them out there.
