I've saved a couple of trailers from the Apple site, and want to play them on my K800i so need to convert them to MP4.

However, I cannot get it to work.

I change the file settings to suit the phone (i.e. 320x240, 216 bitrate, 14fps etc)

Then when I encode, the process completes immediatley and the resulting MP4 which is created is tiny and useless.

I have even tried converting to MOV to AVI and then to MP4, but get the same result.

Any ideas, or alternative methods to play .MOV files on the K800 would be appreciated.

Cheers.

320x240 is WAY TOO LARGE for a screensize!

download SUPER convertor from here (http://myforum.lasyk.net/showpost.php?p=245837&postcount=9)

and use these settings ....

for any file conversion to mp4 video for most SE mobiles i use the following ...

using SUPER

aspect ratio settings are 176x144

video format for output container and output video codec to MP4

HIGH QUALITY to HQ

aspect to 1:1

bitrate to 250

framerate to 15

audio to 22050 channels to 1 and bitrate to 64

I have not given SUPER a try yet, but will give it a go tonight.

FYI - the K800i will play back .MP4 files at aspect ratio 320x240.

Successfully converted Still Game episodes and Simpsons from avi to mp4 at this apect ratio. They play perfectly, and the picture is great.

Initially I was converting to 176x144 as per the W800/K750 settings, but tried going larger as I read the K800i supports 320x240. Sure enough, it did.

Cheers.
