I've just bought my T610 and looking to upload some new software.

What file(s) do I copy to my T610 when uploading an app. For example the global time app unzips to a .jar and .jad file. Do I copy both these up to the phone? from other threads people are having problems when copying .jad file, so does that mean you just copy the .jar file? if so what is the .jad file for?

:?

Any help much appreciated!

Dan.

If you have an IrDA port and you use Win XP: Just activate the infrared on the phone and connect the pc to the phone. Then select the file you want to send with the rightclick of the mouse and select copy to... nearby pc. Confirm reception on the phone and voila...

You can also buy a TDK Bluetooth adapter and use the OBEX port. You can than also copy multiple files at once to the phone. IrDA is single file only.

A Java Application Descriptor (JAD) is an optional file that can accompany the JAR
when deploying your MIDlet(s). A JAD file provides information about MIDlets within a
JAR. In other words, JAD file upload is not necessary :D
