My tel monitoring (control painel) is configured to e com5 (not reserved)
com 5 is the serial port the bluesoleil use...

In my k790a I have Data Communication, Internet Setting and Streaming Settings...
In Internet settings i have Internet Profiles and Settings for java...
In bluetooth menu, i have Bluetooth internet... when i can choose a internet profile...

I dont know what and how i need to configure this itens... =/

My K800 connects when I choose in Opera-mini 3.0 settings http in stead of socket.
However the applet crashed when changing this after being started using device explorer.
After a restart of the K800 it connects fine, so the newest 3.0 works here :)
Ferbragga you maybe can try Opera-mini 2.0, this one has no socket option.
If you can't find it then I can send you my already downloaded 2.0 ;)
PAN works the other way, it lets your pc use the grps connection of your phone and it acts like a network connection.
When you have a PAN connection and disconnect your broadband then your pc will attempt to connect using PAN.

I can't think of another connection problem then the one I had, in the Opera-mini settings switch from socket to http and it should work.
There is no difference in connection as far as I can see, or 3.0 must use another http port being blocked by your pc's firewall .....

If the connection test of Opera-mini succeeds then maybe you should change the settings (choose http in stead of socket).
Sometimes it helps to make a new data profile with your pc's IP in it (phone can find the internet gateway this way).

i just brought it here and YES IT WORKS great and better with **OPERA WIDESCREEN** version for k750i/w800i .. other versions should work fine ...

note this is for sony ericsson mobiles only as it uses the SE SDK

untested on anything other than a k750i and w800i so may not work on x6xx series but its worth a try

i hav some Anwers:

1. U CAN DOWNLOAD ALL DICTIONARY application glossary from this connection and then can use them offline without spending a penny in gprs services for downloading!
So free downloading can be used direct for ur mobile, because some applications only aloow downloads to phone!




2. Similarly u can
hav acces to net from ur same connection to ur pc as well as for ur mobile tht means
u can hav to different net access systems like in lan connections with ur one lan network!

So u can use msn or yahoo or any other messenger with two accounts now one in pc and other in mobile at the same time!

3. You can litsn to online radios from ur mobile with gr8 streaming speed wherever ur bluetooth reaches!

rest ill first find out then tell! i hav just used it for one hour today ill be back hehe!

when i request i download, my opera "transfer" my connection... and open my cell browser... And prompt to use my gprs.... (not more my broadband)

Can someone verify that i works for the K610i...
I have everything installed. I can't launch opera with hid but I can start it directly from the desktop.
Anyway, when I try to surf to google or whatever i just says "Connecting..." for a really long time and nothing happens. I have Opera 3.0 on my phone.

FROM any screen in OPERA press the # key then follow it by key 6 this will rotate the screen 90 degrees you can repeat until you have which direction you wish opera to be viewed in :)

profile doesn't matter for me...
When u open mini via your pc... i think it's create a "proxy connection"...
and you phone will use this tipe of transmission data...
Then... internet profile and data communication... doesn't matter for me!

it´s impossible. You got to be kidding with me..:mad:

I tried with my old phone (K700i) and nothing, I bought a new one (: SE : W810i) and still nothing. I tried everything.. every step.. nothing is missing. I can connect the proxy, I can open the browser through remote control.. but when i try to open a wap site the OM gives me an error (3.0.4 - http://my.opera.com/community/forums/findpost.pl?id=1839287).

I can use OM to navigate normaly - by http and socket - using my provider connection.

I don´t get it! : dnt know

Did you try to make a new data connection and put your pc's IP in it?
Also look for a 'hidden' firewall on your pc like the built-in one of XP (network properties).
Opera-mini uses some special ports which maybe will be blocked without being noticed.
I've seen O.m. 2.0 working on a K610 somewere in this topic.

Well I got it to work in the end, not that I did to much. Just restarted the phone and the PC and it worked. Just follow the exact steps in the tutorial.

It's fun to look at the "Bytes sent" in the connection proxy while surfing with the phone :D

install needed java sdks, ran SE device explorer/connection proxy, and is working fine. But when i run opera from SE Device explorer, which opens opera on my debranded w810i, opera runs a test to make sure connection is working. after the test it says ""Failed to connect to the internet" am i missing a step somewhere or maybe a file?: dnt know

Check for security settings in your bluetooth software, if the connection is secure it could cause problems like you have.
Uncheck secure connection (serial port) and maybe it works better then :)

you dont have to use the remote control option this is an added feature for those who dont want to start it from the computer :)

Can you list your com ports and what each port does?
You can look in xp device management for the com ports and make a screenshot of it ;)
Sometimes the connection only works when you first make a serial connection from your bluetooth software.

i can use my pc and get connected to opera but would like to be able to sit down and connect from the phone via the pc but when i use the remote option on the phone it appears not to work, i press the buttons and the screen remains motionless.
Also how to i know for certain that i am using my internet connection and not that of the phone?

hi, i was doing some googlin' and found this. ok i've got a problem. i'm still reading this thread but i'll ask anyway. it doesn't work... damn. well my cell-phone is nicely connected to my computer using sony ericsson sdk but opera mini(3.0) doesn't want to work. opera itself works but the network setup fails. how should i configure my phone? do i need to enable ics or something? and i'm behind a router too if that matters.

My Internet connection is WLAN, I share my connection with the other people in this house. Bluetooth-stick: Trust, but PC says its Toshiba ;) and works... Indicator is green and I can send stuff to my mobile. Compoort is 40.

Just read on a Dutch Forum dat my Dongle (Trust, but it's an Toshiba) can't be the problem, because Toshiba drivers are good (according to Andre)

But still I can't connect to the Internet, I did everything.

Even with the USB I can't connect, so what did I do wrong ?, is it my Internet-conection ?

I've an WLAN, my IP is 82.74.29.28

But when I do cmd -> ipconfig I don't get that IP : dnt know
