Hi i've started to use my old friend (t630) again...i've got all done as you mentioned....i can connect to my phone with conn.proxy and explore it with the device explorer...( done the serial port conn. with bluesoleil.) But when i try to open the opera mini 2.0 with device exp. i got a mess. saying that error in proxy comm. pls try to disconnect and connect the connection proxy or restart the phone... i even tried the old opera mini version where i found at www.getjar.com (http://www.getjar.com). i can open it with device ex. but when try to open a website i got message saying that limited or no connection error 3.43.80/ 8 or something like that.( deleted the old one cannot remember actually.) but as i mentioned before i done the whole thing step my step..and configured my firewall even closed it....any suggestions for my problem...and heard about to make a new data account and wap setting to make the connection...tried that also but no solution for now...waiting for your replies....thanx in advance....

It's on the same location as my other files ;)
Maybe Kobrakaan can add it to his startpost and add the comments about getting the numbers in a text file on the desktop :)
The only difference according to list.bat is that I added a command to put the numbers in a text file.
When you run List1.bat on the desktop the last text file will be overwritten.

I've tried all this on my T630 too and it just isn't going to work :mad:
On the T610 it seems to work with an old browser that's not available anymore.
The error # is 3.0.10.80/ and the proxy stays connected here.

dis sounds kool.. but i have a problem. The phone gets connected wid the usb in the device explorer but when i try to open any site frm opera it starts to disconnect or opera is not connected.

hey no one replies my request :( i did everything correct....but when i connect my opera mini it says u donot have any working network connectionsmm using Bluesoleil and with the ES388 bluetooth dongle.! now cannn plzzzzzzzzzz anyone here help me :(

Try to make an extra data profile with only your pc's IP in it.
Then look at internet and java setting on your phone and let them point to this new data profile (call it bluetooth or something familar for you).
Sometimes you can connect to the internet using this profile ;)
Else maybe a firewall on your pc (in XP) can block ports and then it doesn't work either.
And the last one: Check in your bluetooth software for a secure connection, if it is secure then uncheck secure connection if possible.

The connection proxy couldn't make a connection as it couldn't without the extra .txt file.
If the connection proxy doesn't start at all then ejava.exe is at he wrong location (according to were list.bat expects it to be) or the location is mis-spelled or something like that.
So first try to make list.bat work properly, it can't be too difficult if you can find ejava.exe in your explorer.

I've got the HID working with eMSN, Google Maps, and Opera Mini, but when I try to reconnect this fails.

If I close the "connection proxy window" on my computer I'm able to reconnect again.

Could someone help me with this?

That's because the K750 (and partners) can't handle different BT connections very well at the same time.
When I start an applet like Opera mini with HID I stop HID after that, else the proxy connection gets interrupted.
The only way to reconnect is restarting the applet and proxy because you have to make a new internet connection.
Without HID running I can get the internet connection up for hours and hours :)

On another forum I found out that that minibrowser.lnk and list.bat need to be changed when the newest SE SDK 2.2.4 has been installed :o
This SDK is installed on a slightly different path, but it's enough to let the old files tell you they can't find the path :rolleyes:
When you've installed an older SE SDK the old files still work fine ;)

You can edit the .bat file using notepad and change C:\ to D:\.
Most XP installs are on C so I've used C.
On my own pc XP is on D because I have a dualboot system.

Try a lower connection speed in connection proxy, it seems to connect and then gets scrambled or something.
Also look at bluesoleil for a secure connection, this doesn't work so disable it.

What brand is the BTdongle, maybe you can use Widcomm drivers instead ;)
You didn't tell about a secure connection, can you go into the serial connection setup of bluesoleil and look for a secure connection?
You can put security off on most bluetooth drivers ;)

Everything works smooth on my K750i, but I have a questio, how can I be sure that it is not making gprs data transfers? When I try to go online it asks me for internet access...I don't want it in any circumstances to use grps because it is expensive as hell...how can I be sure?

edit your wap settings and alter the main login dns settings make a note of them but change them just enough so it fails the wap/gprs connection :D

LE : I think it works :D, it does, after I have deleted the data accounts on my phone, I have started the opera browser from the device explorer, that link doesn't work anymore, I don't know why, but nevermind...; it asked me for internet access, and it works :D

I think this is it...

LE : it works...the data counters tell me that there have been 0 bites transferred :D

LE : does it work for wap sites? i tryed to download a picture from lasyk, it worked, but I didn't knew how to save it. wap.sonyericsson.com doesn't work... :(

I think so...the picture showed, it told me something about downloading but I don't know where it went. And one more thing, I am not sure this works for wap sites...or should the address be written in some other way?

The Opera-mini browser is not in the first place a wap browser but it can show wap pages 'by accident' :D
So if downloading from wap pages doesn't work then I think it is because that ....
When pictures are of a type known by Opera-mini AND the phone then they will be saved in a pictures directory.

Sorry but I try all and I cant do it :mad:

I try..... secure bluesoil in low(it can disable only high , medium and low)
timeout.tool in proxy settings change to 25000, mmm I try diferents Ips, (I have a router).
I can conect with the com all ok bue when start device explorer I always get the same error "Malformed response from phone, please try to disconnect and connect the connection proxy again or restart the phone"

some new idea????: dnt know

It's strange...I can see the image in full size but can't get it...it tells me if I want to grant it access to the web, so this is when it want to use the grps...

I think that the security settings still scramble the data so it won't work with bluesoleil I'm afraid :(
Maybe you can use Widcomm 5.0.1.801 drivers instead, they are better.

@Stefun:
If Opera-mini only can use gprs for downloads then you should let it, else get the pictures from your pc :D
There are no other settings available in Opera-mini to make it work.

My guess is that you are able to provide internet access to any kind of browsers on your phone, through your pc, as long as this piece of software is started from the SE SDK.
As for the files that make the connection "easyer" (the minibrowser.lnk and those .bat files), I think they just make matters more complicated for some users.
Just fire up the device explorer, wait for the proxy to connect to the phone, start opera from the list of the installed applications on the phone, and that's it, no other hustle and bustle. You are "grounded" anyway by the bluetooth's range, so why need all that stuff to make it look truly mobile? :)

In my manual I've put the remote HID thing as an option and that's what it is, you don't really need it :)
HID also may corrupt the internet connection so I stop it when the 'work' (starting up the browser) has been done ;)

I tried to do this but the java DK isnt available on the sun site, i will wait a bit.

I use my w810 for get my internet connection at home (illimited transfer but expensive service here in México). They (my provider its called telcel) gave me only 115.2kbps instead the 384kbps of the EDGE modem. Do you know if there is a way to get all the bandwidht of my phone capabillity ?

hi all, I am new to this forum. I got my K750i and I love it. I tried everything using SE Java SDK and initially the connection proxy worked fine.But after some time, it says "error" unable to connect . Device explorer reports some hanging connection proxy and asks me to refresh the connection.
Any help ??

I have tried this on my k750i.
I have got two different results.

1) in my university PC: I tried with my class 1 bluetooth dongle. Everything works fine. Opera mini, emsn, etc. work great. but the PC that i use for the process is unable to connect to the internet by it self. for eg if i try IE or firefox it does not connect to the internet, but I can browse the internet fron my mobile easily. the PC is connected to my university LAN network.

2) in my home PC: I tried with my class 1 bouetooth dongle. Every software except opera mini is able to connect. (I want opera mini because it is compatible with most websites). The PC that i use for this process is still able to browse the internet. the PC is connected to my home lan network which is the connected to my DSL line.

I want to use opera mini in my home too. does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this problem. Does it have anything to do with USB 1.1 or USB 2 ports.

please help me out here!

Hi

Sometimes the phone tries to use gprs settings or settings that worked last time, even when you started the applet from your pc :(
You can change this behaviour by making a new data account with your pc's IP in it, the rest of the fields remain unchanged.
Apn could be 'internet' but I think Apn is not important when used this way.
Then choose this new data account in internet settings and Java settings.
Also check in the bluetooth settings if the serial connection is not 'secure' because that may be a problem.

I think that the proxy tool should be more widely used and prmoted by Sony Ericsson for the phones that don't have Bluetooth Pan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Personal_area_network) support.

... A lite version of the SDK that does not need the full SE and SUN SDK will be published soon:cool:

This has been announced long ago, any progress with this? :)

yes, PAN should be the way to go.

I think we're talking about different things :p
What I asked for was a small install package that was announced by webmaster@lasyk.net, this replaces the full install of Sun and SE software and works much easyer.
I know about PAN and it doesn't work (on my K800) as I thought it would, PAN makes it easy to use a phone's internet connection but the phone can't make use of the pc's internet connection.

Else I read that this works on Symbian phones like the M600, when internet connection sharing on the pc is enabled the phone can make use of it.
On the K800 it SEEMS to work like that when you read the white paper but I can't get it working.
The SE developers don't have a clue how to get this working on the K800 too at this moment :(

I´ve installed the Opera, SDK and everything else. I can connect true COM4 and everything seems fine. But when I started minibrowser, even from my pc, i can´t connect.

When I open opera and make a connection test, the bytes sent and received don´t change at Connection Proxy. And it´s connected!

It seems that the browser is searching for my phone connection.
Where did I went wrong?

Sometimes it can help to create a new data account with your pc's IP in it.
I suppose you did select serial networking in Device explorer ?

I selected the serial port as manual says.. but don´t work.

In my Device explorer I can see all my applications including Opera Mini.
But when I start the opera it says that i have to configure a gprs/3g account.
