i dont have at home, i cant even get conected to the home phone coz it work with pre-paid cards, and i dont think i will use it a lot of time when im at home coz here at work all day are conected and when im out of work the last thing i think is a PC jajajaja but sometimes i need something from the web :p

Ok, then it's simple, install Opera-mini on your phone and you can go on the internet using gprs if you want to pay for the data you use :)
Your phone is also usable as a modem for your laptop, you then use the phone just for the (gprs) internet connection.
But that's not really what this topic is about.

I also tried all this on my T630 with the newest (small) Opera, but it can't make a serial network connection like the T610 can :(
So I think that the bluetooth stack is a little bit different

I do think this explains my "cant-connect-T630" question:(

Hey joselus i had the same error as u, d DeviceExplorer detects hanging connection and closes afterward... although steps i use r different from from windows, u might get some clue as to how u can resolve it.

i use BlueSoleil...
1.) BlueSoleil Explorer - Tools - Configurations - Quick Connect (this is where i assign remote devices for automatic connections when Windows application opens the port - assign port to cellphone) wen u connect to PC thru bluetooth connection, PC assigns a temp port for it, wat ur trying to do is assign specific port for ur cell.

iM guessing this is where u assign port in Windows ((i maybe mistaken))
WinXP, Start - Control Panel - Performance and Maintenance - System - Hardware - Device Manager - Ports

2.) Click SonyEricsson J2ME SDK - ConnectionProxy - Configuration (looks like a clog wheel) - enter the port number u assign in Port Name and Maximum Baud Rate (115200 for broad band, for dial up it is lower)

after saving the configuration in ConnectionProxy. close it and click ConnectionProxy again... it shud detect ur K750i... Now click Device Explorer... it will show installed application (OPERA mini is installed) and games. Click the OPERA mini in DeviceExplorer and the Opera browser on ur cellphone will be activated and u can now surf using ur phone at broadband speed (or dialup speed).

im still not able to configure properly remote desktop to let me access broad band wen i start OPERA thru my cellphone. so i got it half correct

Bluesoleil is known not to be ready to accept HID commands, you need to activate HID from Bluesoleil and that makes HID useless.
Maybe you can find a way to let Bluesoleil autoconnect HID, then it would respond to your phone correctly like other drivers do.

If you mean using your landline dialup to connect to your mobile phone then the answer is yes, just follow the guide.
The widescreen Opera is made by a Russian guy on Esato (http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=116808&start=0)

Hi, this is soo great! I've been thinking about this concept ever since bluetooth became famous for phone connection to pc instead of the IR crap... I hope somebody would create like an easy install guide software that would basically install everything on the PC needed, and also the jar files for the phone automatically. Something like a software for computer idiots guys like me.

If you try to check Sailing Clicker, It did an installation really cool and guided me to install a *.jar to the phone that was pritty easy to install aswell. But in this case, I guess, using Opera Mini and Sony Ericsson SDK would have something to do with software licencing or something? Or maybe someone could create a Mini HTML viewer like Opera Mini and create like a small utility on the PC that could get to configure these ports and stuff for the bluetooth/Cable/IR automatically... Geezze... Anyways I haven't tried this one myself yet, but as I could see, you guys did it with one hand. Hehehe... By the way, is it posible if my laptop only have dial-up connection? Sorry I dont have broadband yet... Can't afford it.

One thing is, it somewhat works like a wireless / Wifi adapter right? Its just 10m, so not goin to be that handy, but I've heard that Bluetooth class A have a range up to 100m? Is this true?

speedyandre

The problem is that most bluetooth sticks install different because of the supplied drivers.
The SE sdk will install flawlessly and it points you to the needed Java website (Sun.com) to download some software.
The manual in the startpost is quite easy, so I think anyone can install it with some help ;)
You can use dialup too, it doesn't matter what kind of internetconnection you have (I've confirmed this earlier in this topic).
So give it a try, it's fun to browse on the toilet but don't loose your phone there, it could get wet and smell badly :D

That is correct and welcome on this forum :)
By installing the SE software and starting the browser from your pc you create an internet gateway for the phone, so Opera-mini knows where to get the data from.
Other java (j2me) software like internet-games and chat programs work the same way.
You can try them out without using gprs, if the applet supports all this of course ;)

Maybe it helps when you first make a serial connection with your phone from your bluetooth driver (Widcomm, Toshiba etc).
You can do this by clicking the bluetooth icon in the tray or go to my bluetooth places.
Once this serial connection is established the device explorer will use it.
Maybe you also can see which com port the bluetooth connection has when the serial connection is ok, else you still need to try this with different com ports.
The maximum speed of the com port is 230400 bps, else the phone will disconnect.

I think because Opera-mini is not designed to be a wap browser, it is a browser for normal http websites :)
In my opinion the title of this topic isn't 100% right, it should be something like 'internet via broadband' to cover what Opera-mini really does, but by accident it understands wap (Xhtml) too ;)
The built-in wap browser of the K750i can't be started the way Opera-mini is started because it's not a Java applet.
Maybe there is a Java wap browser somewere on the internet, but if using Opera-mini doesn't give other problems then identifying a phone wrong I think it's a minor issue :)

If bluesoleil doesn't work you maybe can try Widcomm 5.x drivers if your dongle is licenced to use Widcomm.
I haven't got bluesoleil drivers, the trial drivers don't work with my dongles.
