Useful guide...
Some sites e.g waptrick.com filtering the user's device for accessing their content. It means, some content could be accessed limited by the specified device only. For example, miami.jar couldn't downloaded from PC, but only from my K610i...
So.. this is useful guide, although this day I'm still studying about the procedure

I had installed the opera mini 2.0 by russian mod. And it worked very well. Some strange feature come. Such as file manager, iso-utf-win encode, save webpage as .oms, etc. But, when I installed yours... I confuse, where is the ADV word mean?? I think it just the same with standard opera mini. The worst, yours still v 2.0

@Muhehe007 can you connect to your phone using SERIAL CONNECTION ??

try connect it to serial first then disconnect then try the SDK connection again :)

and i think the com port setting is too high possibly try use a lower one :)

looking at your screen shots its connecting ... I wouldnt worry about trying to start it remotely from your phone just connect it at the computer and walk away ... you need to be within 30/100 feet of your bluetooth enabled computer to use it anyway :)

I found the shortcut/hid way of loading it always caused me problems :(

afaik ICQ does not work! but E-MSN does work :)

These are the rockets that flew away and rush in my head. I'm so confuse about the word adv means. The opera 4.1 support download and upload file. And also 4.1 is certified and no prompting access to the filesystem (for write and read user data), and also the connectivity (for connect to the internet). The russian 2.0 mod (my version is 2.14.38 modded again with myself) works same with the 4.0, additionally, the russian mod version provide the multipages (frames), multiwindows, media player, encoder, and much more. But, as I know, the modded version is illegal, so I can't attach mine here.

But solid, in the terms and agreements, also the rules in the all official opera mini, there said that the user, mean myself, don't have any authority to decompile or reassembling its source code (mean modding). So, with uploading the russian version, it'll be breaking the agreement's rule. Even I uploaded my own modded version.

Opera 2.14.38 is my modded version with japanese language. If you want english, here I have 2.14.37 please after downloaded it you rename it to .jar without extracting again. Because the one I attached here just change .jar to .zip without packing it.

PS: in 2.14.37 there isn't music player. But the next version has added it. Actually this is not big problem although most of SonyEricsson phones has MediaPlayer or MusicPlayer program.

1)Open System Preferences
2)Click on Sharing
3)Turn on Internet Sharing
4)In Share connection from click on Airport and in To computer using Bluetooth PAN
5)Go back to system preferences and open Bluetooth
6)Click on the + (make sure you have bluetooth turned on)
7)Click continue and then click Mobile Phone
8) Wait for you phone to appear and click on it
9)Select any of the 3 options if wanted Make sure everything internet related is selcted (2 of them are)
10)In the next step you dont need to enter anything if you dont need to
11)Your done!

Hi, I have spent half the day figuring these tricks out for a w610.
pc phone connection via bluetooth is up, i've changed minibrowser entry point and ID, I can start opera mini but the app still asks for an internet connection to send data over which means it's not used the pc's internet.
i've gotta wireless connection hooked in from a local network and so the pc i'm trying to work off does not have the capability to share its internet connection. or can it?

try restarting the phone and try again. The it does not work , then change the port. I did a trial and error and i got the port COM8 to work insted of COM11

But I have a problem that, everytime i have to restart my mobile to suft the internet by this trick.

I have a W800i and tried the procedure given on first post. Installed everything. But it seems there is a global problem with OperaMini 4+, as OperaMini 2. works great.
The problem with OperaMini 4+ is: it loads just the first page but stops loading next pages afterwards.So it just works for few seconds and then says 'connecting...'

So why is this problem in new versions?? I am using now OperaMini 2.14.37 and this doesnt have widescreen feature. Can someone upload the old version(2+) which has widescreen as I am not able to get it on google.

read the guide letter for letter it does work and the original linked to guide is on a web archive and it still works I just checked and it loaded fine ...but the guide here works well enough ... you may need to disable one of your bluetooth ports this maby causing a conflict! :)

try connect to your phone in your bluetooth places (where it shows your bluetooth options/obex transfer options etc ..as a SERIAL BLUETOOTH LINK and then once its connected Disconnect it then try using the device explorer to connect again :)
