I've followed the tut so far, however when i try to connect to teh SE device explorer using COM 7 or 8 (which is my bluetooth ports), it says:
"Could not connect to serial/proxy handset"

I'm just wondering if anyone could help me with this error.

be sure your bluetooth is on or try other ports

My bluetooth is on, both on my PC and phone, as i can connect via remote desktop, but when i try it on SE Explorer, it just keeps on given me that error. I have tried all avaliable ports also, thank you for any help :).

I tried with USB port for w610i. Successfully connected, launched Opera from SEDK. And tried to go-online with my phone. But based from the log @ Connection Proxy, it says that i Timed out. What is the problem? Can anyone please help me.

I've heard from someone that the connection is more stable when you setup a new data-account.
In my K750 there is one allready because in the beginning I thought it was needed to get it all working.

apn = empty
username and password = empty
IP is my pc's network IP
Other fields are defaults

In the internet- and java settings I point to this new data-account.
Another advantage of this is that my phone can't use gprs when I don't want it to.

your internet via broadband thread is very usefull and i got online within 2 tries only, it was so easy but problem is ...
1, i cant download any file, (mid, mp3 ring tone etc) using opera mini (2.0 ru) gets java.io.ioexception errorcode=2
2, In your post number 135 you told about data account but my k750i has only apn, username and password settings what to do plz help me

I'm not sure is the one on my phone is this one..
Well, the one on my phone is like..

When I start it, I can control my mouse's movement with navigation key (Up/down/left/right) and Left button for left click, right button for right click
And etc etc.. is it that one?

I just checked out that there's a new SE SDK 2.5.0 of only 127MB ;( :D
It will work with the 1.6 JDK.
So Kobrakaan can change his sig again :D
The new SDK has options for newer phones like the K800 and so on but if you only use the device explorer I think it doesn't offer things you really need.

After successfully being able to browse the internet on my w300i, I went to speedyandre's other forum about surfing the net using a Personal Area Network (PAN) and tried to get it to work that way. I uninstalled BlueSoleil and tried installing the Widcomm/Broadcom drivers and it wouldn't work with my BlueTooth Dongle, so I tried coming back to this way with DeviceExplorer. Unfortunately, it wouldn't work after uninstalling and reinstalling Opera several times and rebooting my phone and computer as well.

I was confused as to what Internet Settings to use on my phone because I'd seen posts where people used their PC's IP and others where people put in their Router's IP or their external IP. None of these options worked for me because I had installed Opera using only my phone. I moved the .jar file into my Other folder on my phone and selected it using my phone and installed it into Applications. However, I read somewhere on here that the trick is to use DeviceExplorer to install Opera and it will work. I have zero Internet, Data, or Java accounts and can still surf the web just fine after using DeviceExplorer to install Opera (choose File -> Install and point it to the .jar file).

Unfortunately, I am unable to download anything off of wap.sonyericsson.com, or anywhere else for that matter, and I think that it is BlueSoleil that is to blame. I get the error:
ticket: 6c8ce862-00003210-000b error: com.sonyericsson.edge.fw.component.sitestructure.e xception.SiteStructureResolveSystemException: The resource : Failed to resolve path for: [0] could not be found! Request that failed: http://www.sonyericsson.com/fun/0 Request had session:false.

I'm not sure how to work around it to download. I put BlueSoleil on the lowest security setting and have the latest Opera installed. It's still neat to be able to check email, wikipedia, google stuff, etc even though I can't download games onto it. I can still download .jar files to my computer and install them onto the phone with DeviceExplorer so not all is lost.

I cant because this try to make an test conection but dont connect and just kick me out of the app.
I just can use this but with Opera Mini 1, but i really want use the last one |-)

@CARLOSMARIOAGAMEZ it seems to work best with the opera mini advanced thats in my signature ... all other versions seem to have loads of issues like quitting or crashing/freezing :(

i hav a k750i and iv downloaded the SE thing and its installed and set up.. and i cant seem to get my fone connected.. i get to the point in the set up where i hav to choose a COM port?? i found them in my device manager there is 2 to choose from (COM1) and (LPT1) and i just dnt no wat to do after this point.. i really need an idiot proof step by step second by second button by button run thru because i cant get it please if u cud jus tell me exactly wat to do cos i am goin insane and all the technical talk on the rest of the forum isnt helping me cos i dnt understand it.. cud u please jus tell me exactly wat to do once i have the SE device explorer *remember IDIOT PROOF* please god pleasse before i hav a breakdown i want this bad haha thanks again

You should be able to download stuff using the version in my signature :)

youtube ... no not possible theres a youtube mobile application out there but it does not work with this guide :(

hi, kobra khan, I just download the SE SDK 2.2.4. but the problem is I encountered a problem, when I open it says An Installation of Java Development Kit Version 1.4.1. or higher is required to continue. When I Press Cancel to abort installation it go to Sun's download page but I can't find The Java Development Kit. Please help me. thank you
