Phone locks up when get sms

Hi all, when i get an sms the phone sometimes locks up in the time display then after a few seconds then displays that an sms has been received. I get the tone and vibration but the screen is frozen on the time display, my firmware version is R1A081. Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix this?

it sounds like the firmware corrupt, suggets getting in contact with nearest SE centre to upgrade firmware, this should sort out this problem 8)

yeah they should be able to sort it out but... it may take longer than sending the T610 into a SE centre urself, There is a SE centre @ SBE ltd, Beaver Ind Est, Beaver road, Ashford, Kent, 01233 619320, www.SBE.co.uk, ( I work there ;) )

I was just wondering how could the firmware get corrupt? The phone was fresh from the box. Just wondering, hopefully be sorted out tomorrow.

Back-up your phone data and do a master reset. If this works then good. If not, follow the above suggestions - go to your nearest SE service center.

well before the mighty T610 was released it had some firmware issues... they had to do a recall of all the shops, they released them with a more stable firmware, but they still have problems, they get loads in a week having to be re-flashed :(
