Slow as hell USB transfer to memory stick

Is it just me or is the xfer to memory stick really slow...
i have the updated firmware and i hear there are problems with it but i never played with older firmware to confirm it.

all i know is when i move files from itunes into the mp3 folder it either takes 15-25 min or it will say the drive is full.

i tke the same card out and put it into my brother psp and move the same music into the same folder and wham, done in >3 min, no errors.

anyone?

i also have a problem with the masssync program for itunes. it also says the card is out of memory...

what type of usb port are you using !? USB 1 or USB 2 ? with the computer ...USB 2 is much faster than the older USB 1 :)

find out by right clicking MY COMPUTER then choose hardware/device manager then scroll down to usb (universal serial bus controllers) and click the little + symbol next to it to expand the details and you are looking for it to say something like USB 2.0 ENHANCED HOST CONTROLLER

the important part is the number if its 1.0 it will say 1.0 if its 2.0 then you have the fastest of the two :)


re the card problem .... is it really full or showing its full ?!

did you format it in the computer or in the itunes device !?

formatting in the computer can cause all sorts of headaches as windows formatting sets the device up to use with a windows system structure and not with the other device it can more often than not cause headaches as you describe that its out of memory :mad:

my suggestion would be to backup any data that you need from the card then reformat it in the itunes device :)
