To receive mail from your ISP, you need to do 2 things.
First, check with Rogers if they allow this. There are some mobile service providers that do not allow email traffic except their own. If they allow this, then the second step is to set-up your phone's email client. Settings are as follows:
You need to get all information from your (a) Internet Service Provider and (b) Mobile Service Operator. In setting up an account, you need to have the following:
1. Your user name (example : username)
2. Your password (example : password)
3. Your email address (example : username@myisp.com)
4. Your ISP's incoming (POP) mail server (example : pop.myisp.com)
5. Your mobile service operator's outgoing (SMTP) mail server (example : smtp.cellular.com)
6. Your mobile service provider's "Internet" Data comm account (example : Cellular Internet)**
To set-up Telus based on the above information, do the following:
Messaging->Email->Options->Edit account->New account ....
Under account name : MyISP Mail ->Ok
Connect using : Choose the Data comm account from #6 above
Protocol : POP3
Incoming server : pop.telus.com ->Ok
Incoming port : 110 ->Ok
Mailbox : username ->Ok
Password : password ->Ok
Outgoing server : smtp.telus.com ->Ok
Outgoing port : 25 ->Ok
E-mail address : username@telus.com ->Ok
Leave all others as is then press "Save"
Go back to "Options" then "Set account" then choose "MyISP Mail"
That's it. Turn off your phone then turn it back on. Test your email.
**Note: You need to get this from your mobile service operator. You may be able to get these settings Over-the-Air (OTA). It is normally the Data comm account that has an APN named "internet"
Finally, POP3 Hotmail is a premium service and therefore cannot be set for free. You need to pay for this service. Gmail, on the other hand, also cannot be set at this time since the encryption protocols do not support POP or IMAP. You can check in Gmail's help to get more information on this.
I hope this helps. Cheers !!!

Gmail, on the other hand, also cannot be set at this time since the encryption protocols do not support POP or IMAP. You can check in Gmail's help to get more information on this.
It is possible to send and receive Gmail using POP.

ok, here you have to do:
What you need
* One mobile phone, K750i or later
* One Gmail account.
* A working GPRS account.
Step by step (on your phone)
1. Navigate to Messaging->Email->Settings->Account settings and select "New account"
2. Enter a name for the account, such as "Gmail"
3. Enter the following settings, depending on your phone model some settings are under "Advanced settings"
* Connect using: Select a working GPRS account
* Email aliress: your gmail address
* Connection Type: IMAP4
* Incoming server: imap.gmail.com
* Incoming username: your gmail address
* Incoming password: your gmail password
* Outgoing server: smtp.gmail.com
* Outgoing username: your gmail address again
* Outgoing password: your gmail password again
* Encryption: Incoming: SSL, Outgoing: TLS
* Incoming port: 993
* Outgoing port: 587
4. Start the phone's native browser (not Opera mini) and navigate to this page
5. Download server certificates: this and this. The phone should ask whether you want to install the certificates. Answer yes
Step by step (on your PC)
1. Log in to gmail.
2. Select "Settings"
3. Select "Forwarding and POP/IMAP"
4. Change "IMAP Access" to "Enable IMAP".
You should now be able to both send and receive email from your phone
