I have been looking at sonyericsson.com and it seems the only difference between the two phones is the "music player" and they dont even elaborate on this- the specs are exactly the same!: dnt know

I desperately want a W800 but am getting impatient:mad: so is it worth the wait or should i just get the K750 and what will the differences be anyway?

Anyone?

Cheers

Kev

W800 has flight-mode which turns off reception and gives double the music playback, different design, comes with 512 MB card and better quality headphones. Both the card and headphones can be bought seperately.
If you would perfer the W800 look as a music player, then maybe wait for it. If you don't care on design go for K750 since it is out, or if you can wait then wait.

Flight mode is sweet. I would probably never use it, but I would like to know that I could if I wanted to. Doesnt the W800 have super mega bass or something? I think it was on the website. Maybe makes the tiny speaker not sound so, well, tiny?

K750 I believe has Super Mega Bass too, and I'm not too sure on the headphones, but either way you can buy the headphones ;)

This is what i am trying to find out do either the K750 or W800 have a standard headphone jack?? I hate the ones supplied as they never seem to stay connected.

Does anybody know?

The w800 will have an 3mm headphone jack adapter, not a standard jack. That will fit the k750 too...

so what about plugging the w800 into a home stereo or the like, is this possible with the K750? Thats the big selling point for me

am seriously considering getting a k750 which will be much cheaper and then just flashing the firmware to the w800 and buying the good headphones. In that case will effectively have w800 in k750 housing

It seems to me that both phones have exactly the same hardware -its just the firmware and packaging/exterior colour design that seem to differ and as such sony ericcson is majorly cashing in on the perceived difference between the two.

Just dont want to put my money where my mouth is just yet though in case i cant use it (modified k750) with a home/car stereo etc

Anyone know anything about these connections and/ or do the phones have the same connector points on the bottom/how do they connect to auxilliary inputs etc etc

i think you can sync the w800 with windows media player....

yeah but if you can that would be a firmware related issue

which would be resolved on flashing a k750 to w800 firmware

just want to know if there are any apparent hardware differences

The K750 is suppose to be the same as W800, except for the Flight Mode.
I suggest you email SE for certain information but I can't see why the K750 can't connect to some speakers and play.
