is it just me or is anyone else havin the same problem, when i connect my phone with my usb cable that comes wit the phone it works fine but either after a one or two times or disconnecting it so i can see what ive uploaded onto the phone i,e tones/themes, when i go back to connect it, it makes the normal noise on the comp, it charges the phone but doesnt show the phone on the comp i.e the removeable drive? so i cant upload anymore onto it, then only way around this i seem is to restart the computer then its fine, but then of course it happens again after a while.

Help?

Not sure if it works like this, but have you tried to eject the removable drive before you unplug your phone??? (right click on removable drive in 'My computer')

i think, i think the prob is u need to hold / push the cable right into the phone otherwise its a bit loose, cos it seems to be workin that way, ill keep all informed if this seems not to be the case

After installing and re-installing the SE software, my telephone is still not recognized through the USB cable.
Mob.Netw.Wiz. and SE File Manager both show 'not connected'.
Tried the Phone Monitor port activation thing, won't work.
Plugging the cable in without starting any software is not working either.
I must be overlooking something, anybody an idea?
(IR works, no Bluetooth on my pc, using WinXP.)

Solved it, installed drivers I downloaded from the SE site.

The 'Setup' file?
Usually when I extract such things there is a file called 'Setup'.

2 Files only? There should be more than 25 after unzipping.

I'm using XP, I do't know if it works the same in other Win versions.
Unzip the package, connect the phone to the pc.
Go to configuration and choose 'printers and other hardware'.
In the menu on the left, choose 'other hardware'.
It will start to search and find the phone.
If I remember correctly, it will ask you to browse to where the
unzipped files are. Windows does the rest.
Maybe someone else can explain it better,
but for now I hope it works for you. Succes!

Forgot to mention that I still can't use the File Manager, but at least it's possible to exchange files with the memory stick.

I can get it working - but I can't view the phone memory, only the Memory stick. I also can't get it to synchronise with outlook at all! Anyone got any ideas?

And yes - I have just been disconnected after a few minutes!

- can't view phone's memory on PC
- i cant do that either :)

-cant sync outlook
-sorry but i never tried that

-disconnected from PC
-well i installed the driver via the CD provided and am always too lazy to execute the driver file from SE website (i already dl it to my PC) , thus for the USB cable to work on the phone ,i'll always have to insert the driver CD provided by SE (the CD used for installation) into the PC for the Connection to work from PC to K750i

Yep, I'm noticing the same thing as I type this. It'll connect the first few times but then won't. Sort of annoying. I can't view the uploaded files unless I've unplugged it either. I've resorted to using my old reader and just taking the card out. :(

Oh, I've noticed that if I'm at the MAIN screen, it'll connect without any problems. If I'm on, say, the Themes page, it'll have problems connecting. Maybe wait until the phone is at the main screen and goes to standby before plugging it in?

I've got the same connection problems with USB-cable. Waiting for main screen doesn't work for me.
I found out that when i restart my cell phone, my pc does recognize my cell immediately.
Maybe it helps other members too.

has anyone else noticed that when the phone is connected via the USB port, you cannot see the memory stick files? This could explain the above. If the PC and phone cannot share the memory stick, then this could cause problems. Maybe your phone is somehow using files on the mem stick so it won't connect properly.

i dun think u need to put in the cd provided, everytime u want to use the cable for viewing or transfering of data....its a one time job as long as u saved the drivers, after tat next time just insert the cable will do....its too much of a hassle to insert the disk everytime:p

hey solution to problem with the PC USB Cable connection is:
reboot the PC and connect it again. ;) works for me not very handy but as long as it works.
apart from that i noticed too that after a couple of reconnects it just does that "ding dong" sound in win xp but nothing else happens...
