I am thinking about getting this phone but was wondering, can you choose any sound for your text message alert? COuld I add to whats already on the phone?

if you are asking about the K750i:
yes you can.
i switch between sounds...currently i have 2 diffrent, one that says "yay, i got mail! yaay!" & the other one sounds like a sheep.

all k750i's does this. just go into settings and select message alert and find a tune on ya phone or in file manager find a file then select use as then select message alert !

Good, pretty irritating with the T610 that you need to take the standard sounds.

yeah this is a feature that definately needed bringin in to this phone and they have, sony ericsson are the best phones out there in my opinion this was a feature they just needed to bring in and they have, tis v.cool

can someone show me the thread that has some of these in them, i have been searching for the last half hour but cant find it. it had mp3 with sill stuff on it, like animal noises and stuff.

i found my sounds in a pack that i dowloaded via Bit Torrent from the site The Pirate Bay.

What I don't understand is, when you set your profiles you cannot choose your sms sounds per profile (it was possible with the T610), so every profile has the same sms sound right? (same with alarm sound). And when I have it in silent (all sounds off) and I forget to change the sms sound into 'no sound' will an sms still be heard?

How can I get SMS to play the downloaded sound ??
