Hey people. New to the forum so bear with me. Have read through many of the threads and cant find mention of music editing software which you use to create ringtones on pc (before using DRM software). Any Freeware suggestions to record specific sections of songs to use??

Welcome to myForum! :)
You can use your burning prog (Nero, NTI, Roxio)
In that prog their's a tool called wave editor.
But first you convert the file you want to change to wav. You can do this in your burning prog, if you create MP3.
Then edit in wave editor, save as Mp3, and 48-112 Bit rate.
Other good prog is: www.tongsoft.com (MP3 sound recorder)
But it's not for free.
