Hi all,

I'm looking forward to upgrading to one of the new SE phones. Any ideas when they are out on T-mobile in the UK?

I'm hoping June/July. I'll be intrigued as to how they will be priced. I believed the K750i was a 'starter phone'. Am I right in thinking the D750i would be a little more basic and the W800i has the walkman benefit as well as everything the K750i has?

Really difficult to decide...will probably work it out more when they're priced...
Nothing on the T-mobile site as yet...

If money is tight (I'm buying a house) would the D750i (suspect might be the cheapest) be lacking in anything major the K750i would have?

D750 is the exact same as K750, just T-Mobile branded ;)
K750 will be released in May, W800 in June :)
Webmaster told me what he thought of the prices or something..but now I forget..maybe he will reply for you.
The W800 has everything the K750 has, and a few extras like the main button you go to music player whereas in K750 you go to an activity menu ;)

K750 will be released in May, W800 in June :)
Agreed with ASAP get K750, if you decide to change from T-Mobile then you don't need to debrand your D750 ;)
Or go for W800 if you need an mp3 player..

yes, the D750 is the same as the K750, the W800 have the same functions as the K750 have with some diferences:
you can play MP3 with the phone "off"- that means no network searching, that means too, you can play MP3 in flight
Same quality camera with no Focus function
It comes with a Stereo RCA cable so you can connect to a hi-fi
it comes with 512MB of memory (K750 comes with 64MB)
it will be more expensive hehehehe
i will choice the K750 (because i'm not in UK, if yes i will choice D750 becuase the price)

the focus function vs. the walkman ... plus the design .. more sci-fi or more professional .... tastes are not to be discussed

I'd go for K750i black, bacause it looks very professional and smart.....
Design of W800 is for me too "poor" or like more for fun.

Cheers guys, I definitely understand the preference for a K750i as opposed to D750 due to the debranding aspect but have been a customer of T-mobile UK since they were One2one with coverage of about 10% of the UK. I have considered changing but even with number portability I'm very happy with my price plan and they give me a loyalty discount too which aint bad...
Anyways, enough of that (sure you all have good reasons for your networks too!...I was a bit peeved that after one of their selling points to me originally was no charge for itemised billing, they suddenly now decide to charge £1 extra...!)

I may have to go for the D750 due to financial constraints as mentioned...as long as it's just the branding thing that's the downside and no loss in features I'm sure it'll be fine.

Not sure I would benefit massively from the W800 'walkman' features for the extra money, though it does sound very tempting...

With regards to memory, aren't they able to take memory cards or something or am I totally confused?!

I was admittedly also considering the T-mobile SDA as although I heard the Windows based phones tend to be a bit dodgy, I did like the idea of having a phone with the ability to do satellite navigation...

My upgrade is due in June anyway (I somehow managed to swindle T-mobile last year as they offered me a 'no obligation discount off my line rental with no tie-ins or contract' but when I went to upgrade they said I had already agreed a new 12 month contract! Hmmm...! A little litigation came out top trumps!)

Yes, all those phones take memory cards, D750/K750 having a 64 mb card, and W800 having a 512 mb card that come with them when bought ;)

hello.
sorry to say, but the d750 is not the same as the k750i.
the d750 is the same as the w800i only branded for t-mobil.
other thing is, the w800i comes with a 512 mb stick, the d750 have none.
and when the w800i is released he's almost the same price as the k750i.

by the other hand, al the three phones are the same, only the coat is different, and the d750 is simlocked.
the w800i comes here for around €400,- and the k750i cost around €380,-
the d750 cost €299,-.

i know what i do, i go for the w800i, cost some more, but then i have 512 mb instead of 64 mb :D

It is the same as K750, just looks different ;)

Hi,

I think I'm going to go with the D750i after striking a nice deal with T-Mobile.
I think it outperforms my T610 well enough to qualify as a good upgrade.

I really want to know two things though:

1) How is it with bluetooth compatability. I mean can I use it with FMA? Would it work with TDK Mobile? Can you bluejack like you can with the T610?
2) Does it support HSCSD? Reason being as I have an allowance of 750 minutes which includes WAP calls which I'd prefer to use than GPRS...

Cheers
