Anyone understood the difference between the new phones of SE, k750i and W800 cause I can't. : dnt know

W800i according to an article has all features of K750i, but looks more like an MP3 phone, more memory I think..
K750i is coming out first, so I think SE are trying to get people to choose when the W800i comes out - more memory and better sound quality etc. for more money?
K750i comes out 2nd quarter of 2005, W800i comes out 3rd quarter of 2005 ;)

W800i and K750i both have the same amount of internal memory - 38MB and W800i is the first phone with a walkman as one of its function.....but there are two things that i am also not sure about -
1- since K750 camera have an auto-focus lens , does the W800 have the same auto-focus function ?
2- do both phones use the same type of memory stick ? i.e MS Pro Duo OR MS Duo ? : dnt know

Same auto-focus camera
But w800 has a 256mb MS vs k750 64mb
Dedicated buttons for music
It can be used as music player with phone off
It has line out conexion to conect with stereo
Better Headphones
Everything else is almost the same

yep
W800 according to Sony Ericsson will be bundled with a 512MB Memory Stick Duo
K750 according to Sony Ericsson will be bundled with a 64MB Memory Stick Duo
It has not been specified yet if the K750 will be able to play AAC tracks
Autofocus will be available on both devices
The devices are virtually identical according to Sony Ericsson's specifications...

As far as marketing is concerned:
Sony Ericsson stresses Music/Walkman for the W800
Sony Ericsson stresses Pictures/Imaging for the K750

LIAL was saying that you can upgrade to 2 GB on W800i, and K750i I think highest is 1 GB..

but i think IF both phones uses MS Pro Duo the largest so far is 1GB ........2GB might come in soon ....but for now the only MS to support 2GB is MS Pro

Yes I wonder what "Flight-mode" is too..and I haven't heard of it anywhere..

Yes the W800i can use Flight-mode. The phone can be switched off while still listening to music. It also saves battery power. As far as i'm aware, the K750i cannot do this.
I would like to know, does the W800i have

No, K750 can't do this.
I'm pretty sure it does have all, I know for sure it has MusicDJ and the others but maybe someone can confirm?

well i just wanted to know if this is true , as to what i understand , the K750i does not have this ''flight-mode'' function ....a waste :( :(

from my understanding of the ''flight-mode'' function , it means that when you are on the aeroplane , and your switch you phone mode to ''flight-mode'' , all GPRS/GSM emitting waves will be cut off ..thus you will be able to use the phone's other functions like organizer, games etc whereas phones that dont have the ''flight-mode''' function cannot switch on their phones in the aeroplane

today i phoned a friend at debitel (german 3rd party provider) and he said that if i would make a new contract, it would cost me about 1 €, and this price is not depending on any special type of contract.

sure, but some tendency must be there, mustnt it ? is it about 1000€ like the business mobiles or about lets say 150€ like low prize mobiles

EDIT: Just thought you guys would like to know..found this on the unofficial club SE page:
The screen, as I mentioned in the K750i Preview, is just a little bit larger than the K700 one but considerably smaller than the Z/V800. The most notable improvement I could see was the higher contrast and the overall enhanced speed of all menus and actions, including the viewfinder in camera mode.
And also this:
It would be fair to say that although it’s 2 megapixel, the sensor is a traditional CMOS, always of lower quality than the CCD sensor of the 1.3 megapixel S700.

As i know, In flight mode you only can use the Music player, a waste if you can't use the games too, is sure that you can't use other functions like organizer, only music and maybe games.
I've confirmed that K750 have no Flight mode, only P series have flight modewhere you can use all the function, only not the phone.
