if ur using a mac with osX its dead simple. Just need a bluetooth dongle. There is a bluetooth setup assitant where u pair the phone and then u can just send stuff to the phone from the BT menu.

On my O2 branded phone. I put the MP3 into the MP3 folder on the memory card
using a card reader.
Then on the phone I go to file manager, SOUNDS.
scroll to the mp3, press MORE then USE then SET AS RINGTONE
Much easier than on Voda it seems,.,
Yup, it's because Voda want you to use Voda Live and pay £2.50 per ringtone! Their Voda Live software blocks you from setting personal mp3s as ringtones, Bandits!

Still can't get it work my friends. It says that file transfer isn't allowed (ohoh.dm)
Probably I will refer to an appropriate shop. They told me that they can upgrade my firmware and unlock my %&*$#Vodafone mobile by charging me 35-40 euros.
Damn musical rights!!!

Hi 1st post.
Think the tool from the Ericsson website has been removed as the top 20 links on goggle point to a certain link and none work.
Any1 got an idea of another place to get it from. Thanks.

Is the link for the DRM software dead, or the passwords have changed?
I use the username "drm@lasyk.net" and the password "drm" but it keeps asking again as if it was wrong. Please help.
Thanks in advance.

hi, i have aquired the software and changed the mp3file [ very easily], i have tried to send the dm file to the phone via the handset manager software and cable i bought from vodaphone but i get the message saying this file is not allowed to be transfered, so am i correct in assuming that if i get a bluetooth dongle for the pc i will be able to then convert mp3 files and send via bluetooth with no problems ?
many thanks in advance

I am afraid that won't solve the problem either. I have a K700i Vodafone and a bluetooth dongle and still I cannot send dm files to my phone. I think the only solution is to unlock the phone from the vodafone garbage.
Hi, first post here so be kind! Just wanted to say thank you for this thread ... I can now choose what ever I want as a ringtone on my sparkly new s700i!
Cheers guys and keep up the good work!!

Hi, just to update -
i aquired a bluetooth dongle and have been able to send the dm files to the s700i via bluetooth, once the files are on the phone it allows me to use them as ringtones or alarm calls, unfortunately the phone will not allow me to pass them on from the phone via bluetooth, many thanks to all those who have posted information here, i would have been lost without it, cheers .

I have a new problem now with my ringtones (mp3s converted to dm files). After a period of time (I cannot figure the length of it), the dms that I use as ringtones lock!!! and cannot be used any more. In some cases they lock in a matter of day and in other cases they lock in a preiod of a month. I think it has got to do with the drm program and how I use it, but I don't have a clue how to solve this. Any help would be too appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

i bought a s700i a week ago, and i'am trying to play my mp3 as a ringtone. I convert the mp3 to *.dm file, but it still doesn't play as ringtone. I have vodafone live. I think that the problem is the vodafone. Can somebody help me??

I have vodafone live and dont have any problems in using dm files as ringtones. Got the phone about a fortnight ago, so assume i am using latest firmware (the same as you). On your display do you have a key showing next to the ringtone you are trying to use?
